Race For 2nd Hots Up

Cardiff went to Port Vale knowing nothing more than a win would do. They went out and got an easy 2-0 win with Gavin Gordon and Scott young on the score sheet for the bluebirds.

It leaves us in a sticky 2nd spot. It seems that Oldham have fallen away and its now one massive scrap between us, the Alex, and them, the bluebirds. The Wigan game possibly came at the worst time possible but we’ve got a pretty easy run coming now with Peterborough on Saturday, Wycombe on Tuesday and then a trip to play Tranmere at Prenton Park the following Saturday.

Cardiff meanwhile have Stockport away this Saturday, Brentford, away, on Tuesday then Notts County, at home. It’s more or less balanced between us; both have 2 what you could call easy games then 1 game against a play-off chasing team.
