PVFC Reserves 2-3 CAFC Reserves

Crewe Alex fringe players beat Port Vale reserves in a friendly this afternoon. Dario had hinted that both Ade Bankole and Paul Edwards were in with a chance to make the first team in the coming weeks and both lined up in the game today.

It was Edwards who put Crewe ahead before Vale equalised, 'a triallist' put Crewe back in front but Vale came back one again. It was yet another triallist, both of who Dario & Baker are looking at, who finally won the game for the Alex.

Adie Moses made a welcome appearance as he recovers from a hamstring pull and Lee Bell also returned for the first time since returning from a season long loan cut short at Shrewsbury.

Unfortunately Richard Walker suffered a recurrence of his ankle injury that he had recovered from last week.
