Praise for Williams

Williams joined in March due to an injury to Clayton Ince. The 21 year old is fourth choice at Manchester United and isn't looking likely to be getting near the first team for a few years, if ever.

In his four games since signing Williams has been nothing short of outstanding, his debut saw him deny Cardiff for 70 minutes with wonderful saves until a freak incident saw him concede a own goal. He won the game against Stoke with fine saves when Stoke were on top and kept the score at Forest down. On Saturday he kept Rotherham out with a fantastic double save and another good three or four saves, whilst looking to command the back four unlike Ince and Bankole.

He's won fans over and has simply been a class above the division since signing, winning us four points. Fans have questioned if Ben could be signed from Man Utd permanently and assistant manager Neil Baker certainly hopes so...

"He has settled in well and the crowd have really taken to him. They want us to sign him up, although it's not quite as straight forward as that!

"But it is something that we are giving consideration to, although we aren't sure if he is going to be released by Manchester United and I am sure other clubs are taking notice of his performances here. But we will look at it at the end of the year."

If the Alex can't sign Williams on a permanent deal then the next best thing is to try and get him on a season long loan for next season... here's hoping.
