Powell to make bench against Seasiders.

16-year-old Powell who has come through the academy signed scholarship forms to fend off interest from Arsenal in which he could of left for nothing.

The England U-17 player has been in sparkling form for the academy side and has been promoted to the first team for his efforts.

Dario Gradi told the official website "Nick will be in the squad for tonight's game and will get a run out at some point, probably half an hour.

"Nick is an attacking player but he has the knack of being able to steal possession and intercept things as well. He does it on a regular basis and it is no coincidence. He can also score goals and can go behind the striker." added Gradi.
