After turning down a bid last summer from Arsenal and a derisory offer from Ipswich Town in January believed to be £700k it seems that Nick Powell could be on a verge of a £4m move.

The question though is which club, only so far have Manchester United have contacted the club and are front runners with an impressive package but other clubs are circling overhead with Arsenal, Fulham, Everton, Man City and Italian giants AC Milan weighing up options for the 18-year-old.

If the club secure a £4m fee for the Haslington born striker they it will eclipse the £3m they got for striker Dean Ashton back in 2005 when he moved to Norwich City.

Powell who netted 16 goals this season including wonder strikes against Gillingham and against Cheltenham Town in the play-off final has had a host of clubs watching him as the season has progressed.

The current England U-18 player has also played at U-16 and U-17 for his country making 25 apperances in total and netting 6 goals in the process.

Powell has picked up many accolades this season where in January he picked up the Football League's Young Player of the Month award for December and also made a clean sweep at the Clubs players awards evening picking up all five awards including best goal against Gillingham.
