With no win in the last six games and only two wins all season the club look set to make some serious moves in the loan market this week ahead of the home game to Luton Town.
A former loan target Lee Holmes would be the first and the Railwaymen have been linked with him earlier in the season with the Derby County midfielder. Crewe will also be hoping that Wolverhampton winger Lewis Golbern has shaken off an injury that he picked up last week in a reserve game and will hopefully sign on a months loan.
The third possible loan signing would surprise a few supporters in the shape of former player Steve Jones.
Jonah who left back in 2006 has had an indifferent time at Turf Moor and a move back to Crewe could suit both parties as the player already knows the Crewe setup and would be an ideal partner for Lee Barnard.
Either way the club needs to add some new faces and also to try and appease the fans who's patience is wearing thin after a poor start to the season.
