The former Biddulph Victoria striker was a possible replacement for the departed Luke Varney but will now be out for upto three weeks and will miss the start of the season.
Other players will look to shine and push for a place these include Byron Moore and Nick Farquarharson although the club could exercise the option of getting a player in on loan.
Meanwile Patrick Suffo has arrived at the club and will now look to impress, although it is thought the former Sheffield United & Coventry City player will may not feature in any pre-season games as the player is not fit.
