Clayton Ince - Solid display from the undisputed No.1 Claimed crosses with authority and dealt with everything that was thrown at him bar Angell's header which he was left with little chance. Kicking wasn't the best but a typical Ince performance. 7/10
David Wright - Acomplished display from the makeshift leftback. Controlled the threat of McPhee well, was caught out of position on a couple of occasions in the second half but put in a decent all round performance. 7/10
Richard Walker - The dominant centre back returned to the side and put in a rock solid performance. He marshalled Angell with ease and was a continual rock in our team. 8/10
Stephen Foster - The quietly spoken centre back was effective as ever. His control over the Vale forwards was evident as they were restriced to wayward long range efforts. Failed to cut out the cross for the equaliser but was a continual presence at set plays. 7/10
Efe Sodje - Not at his best. His passing was sloppy and he was caught in possession on a couple of occassions. Below par from the Nigerian. 6/10
Neil Sorvel - The consistent midfield man gave his usual display. Effective without being elaborate. Replaced by Rix after 70 mins. 7/10
Kenny Lunt - Been in fine form of late, his passing was exemplory, set up the first goal and was a continual thorn in the Vale's side. 8/10
Dave Brammer - Typical performance from the former Vale captain. The hard tackling, motivator, captain fantastic was an insirational figure. 8/10
Steve Jones - Quiet game from Jonah, the fire headed Irishman wasn't at his best and wasn't as threatening as he can be. Replaced by Deano with 10 mins left. 6/10
Rodney Jack - Ran the Vale full back ragged for the first 20 mins. They began to shackle Rodder's but he was a continuous threat. Played off Hulse well and a constant threat. 7/10
Rob Hulse - The Crewe born fontman came into the game after a midweek hat-trick and was unlucky not to grab another today. Dario describe his first strike as the 'best he has scored', and he scored the all important winner with a great header. He ran his socks off all afternoon as the Vale struggled to cope with his power and strength. Another match winning display from Hulsey! 9/10
For the second time in as many games, Rob Hulse wins the crewealex.com man of the match accolade. His effort and goals were crucial as we won at Vale Park for the second time this season.
