Player Ratings - Wigan.

Last updated : 03 November 2002 By Site Staff

Clayton Ince – Nothing great, could have stayed on his feet longer for the penalty but had no chance for the second goal. 7/10

David Wright – Average performance, kept going for 90 minutes and put in a decent defensive performance as well as attacking. 7/10

Richard Walker – Well, we have nothing to work on after his unfair dismissal. 6/10

Stephen Foster – After Walker went off he wasn't himself and let Ellington have abit too much space at times. 7/10

Efe Sodje – The Nigerian was poor, his passing was woeful and he failed to take advantage of space on his wing. - Again 5/10

Kenny Lunt – Tried and never gave up - gave his best but the mood in the team wasn't in his favour. 6/10

Dave Brammer – Excellent, you could tell he tried his best once again by the amount of mud on him while Sorvel tip toed around making sure nothing got dirty. Commanded the midfielder and tried to lift the 9 other players but couldn't get them going. Also stood up to the referee at the end of the game instead of whimpering away from him, keep it up Dave! 8/10

Neil Sorvel – Lacked drive and his controlled performance lacked charisma. Tip toed around trying to keep his shorts as white as possible on a muddy field. 6/10

Ben Rix – Nothing to work on after a early substitution. 6/10

Rodney Jack - He was played as an out and out striker and when he did drop down to midfield he refused to run at Wigan. Also as Dario stated he's refusing to get into the box unless he has the ball. 6/10

Rob Hulse -
Service was poor all afternoon, had no proper chances and when he did he was denied them by the Wigan defence - in more ways than one. 7/10
