Another real team performance from the lads yesterday saw them bring back three points from the Den. The whole team performed better after half time though still managed to cope admirably in the first half against a frankly poor Millwall side.

Ben Williams 5: Very poor judgement by Williams leading up to the penalty. Hayles was put through and Williams never had a prayer of winning the ball but decided to come for it and ended up kung-fu kicking Hayles. Williams was lucky that his potential costly error wasn't so and can also consider himself lucky to have avoided the wrath of the referee for the penalty.

Darren Moss 7: Comfortable. Dealt with what he had to deal with well and contributed well to the team peformance.

Anthony Tonkin 8: A super performance from Tonks. Tiger Tony added to his recent impressive performances with a fantastic defensive performance and got forward when required. Would have been my runner up for the man of the match award.

Steve Foster 7: His first half performance was adept though sometimes shaky. However, a much better second half performance was pleasing for all to see and Millwall rarely looked like scoring from open play. Not as commanding as some of Foz's games this season, such as Derby at home, but solid all the same.

Richard Walker 7.5: Walker showed that Tuesday's performance wasn't a one off by producing a performance showing presence and intelligence. Walker's vocal tendencies had a positive effect on the team as he organised our back line and made sure his fellow defenders were aware of their duties.

Kenny Lunt 8: King Kenny has been a different play this season to last. As well as tracking back and getting a foot in when required. However, Lunty was more effective going forward and produced some astute passing to good effect.

David Vaughan 7.5: A decent performance from Vaughany. Still not the match-winning magic he has shown us before but Vaughany contributed well to the team and gave us an outlet down the left. Vaughan also cut in on occasions and was unlucky to be denied by a great save from Paul Jones in the Millwall goal having been put through one-on-one.

Gary Roberts 8: A great header from Gazza who chose placement over power and executed his attempt perfectly having made a good late run from mdifield. Roberts showed real passion all afternoon and showed the balance of defence and attack which he possesses. Along with Billy Jones, the pair appeared to have now adapted to their midfield partnership and if the duo continue to play like this, we may well have a good season yet. The two dictated the game yesterday and ensured that the Alex reached levels of football in the second half which Millwall didn't look capable of achieving.

Billy Jones 7.5: Billy did everything that could be asked of him sweeping up in front of the back four. His discipline allowed Roberts to get forward though Billy also played through some clever passes.

Michael Higdon 7: Some people have chosen to criticise Higdon of late which, in my opinion, has been very harsh. Higdon was yet again very effective and now has 3 assists and 1 goal in 3 games. Steve Jones has also been unleashed into some unstoppable form since Higdon's introduction to the first team.

Steve Jones 9: A superb man-of-the-match performance from Jonah. Jonah's movement was brilliant all afternoon and was back to his best as he played off the shoulders' of the Millwall defenders. Jonah thrived on the naive tactics of the Millwall side who persisted with a high line and failed to adapt to the situations which arose throughout the game.
