The Colchester United striker was linked with a move to Crewe in January but with his girlfriend going in to labour that move was put on hold.
The 20-year-old came throught the Colchester Centre of Excellence and incidently played against Crewe in the 2005 FA Youth Cup back in 2005.
Guy made twelve appearances last season in the Championship for the U's and failed to score as Colchester were releagted from the Championship.
Guy has had loan spells at Gravesend and Northfleet and Cambridge United in 2005 and 2006 respectively.
Also back in May 2007 Guy was fined £550 after admitting an assault on a youth whilst on a night out round Colchester.
Guy signed a new contract back in July 2007 that would keep him at Cuckoo Farm until 2010. With the player under contract a fee would be involved with a figure of £100k being muted.
