The 20 year old left back has yet to break into the action at Old Trafford while players like Chadwick and O'Shea have got into the first 16 before him. Paul, from Salford, though is a recognised Ireland U-21 left back and with Mick McCarthy's resignation earlier in the week he'll want to try and get first team action whether it's with his long live love, Man Utd, or a club lower down the league he'll want to impress. With players like Gary Neville, Ferdinand and Blanc all in front of him in the que for a place in the first team it's an ideal chance to prove himself to Sir Alex just like Stphen Wright did with Houllier when he came onloan from Liverpool.
