Out of contract and 26-year-old Kenny Lunt looks set to sign for Sheffield Wednesday today after he had agreed to sign for the Owls. This will be Paul Sturrocks third signing of the season and it sees a nine year tenure ship with the Alex come to an end. Lunt had made over 400 appearances for Crewe during a nine year period making his first appearance in the league in a 2-0 defeat to SwindonTown back in 1997. Lunt had been linked with a host of clubs in the Championship these being Leeds United, Wolves, Southampton, Burnley, LeiciesterCity, StokeCity and Sheff Weds. Dario had offered the midfield play maker a 10 year contract and also a testimonial but the lure of regular first team football in the Championship seems to be the deciding factor plus a better wage.
