The 35-year-old defender has only featured in one game this season and that was only in the Carling Cup against Bury.
Lucketti who turned pro in 1989 started his career for Rochdale and had an unsuccessful season at Stockport County but it was a move to Halifax in the early 90's that he made a name for himself.
He then moved onto Bury where he made over 200 games for the Shakers but then in 1999 Huddersfield Town brought him across the Pennines in a £750k move.
Another move back across the Pennines saw him sign for Preston North End for the same fee and he went on to make around 200 appearances for the Lilywhites. He was then on the move back across the Pennines this time Sheffield United paid £300k for his services and this after an initial loan.
Dario enquired about Lucketti through Blades manager Neil Warnock but Warnock said 'Chris passes on his regards, but he didn't want to do anything until after Christmas' A move could happen when the window opens but that will depend on the the fitness of club captain Neil Cox who is ruled out for al least a month.
