O'Neil after our Bhoys?

'The Sentinel' report that Celtic scouts at recent games could be watching Dean Ashton and David Wright.

Dean Ashton is an old pro when it comes to being linked with big boys and after some criticism earlier in the season he has hit back with some fantastic form and scored his 7th goal of the season against Sunderland on Saturday. Fullback David Wright, meanwhile, is well known to want a move to the big time with official interest from Leeds in the summer whilst speculation that Fulham are waving the cheque book at Crewe isn't going away.

It's thought that Celtic manager Martin O'Neil, who took both Robbie Savage and Neil Lennon from Crewe to Leicester in recent years, is ready to spend the majority of his £2million bank balance should the 'Bhoys' draw in France next month to qualify for the final stages of the Champions League.

It just goes to show how easy it is for the newspapers, or anyone, to make up a transfer rumour. Not that I'm saying it's not true or anything, as it could back fire on me, but it's not exactly believable.

Meanwhile last night Fulham manager, Chris Coleman, refused to name any names but said that he had 2 players ear marked for the January sales. With so many area's of the media adamant that Wright is set for Loftus Road in the new year - it wouldn't be surprising if Wright was one of those 'ear marked'.
