Old boys score on debuts.

Michael Higdon and Luke Varney started their pre-season matches with a bang. The former players who moved to pastures new during the summer scored for their new clubs.

Higdon found the net with a header for Falkirk after 19mins in a 1-1 draw against FC Zwolle.

Meanwhile Charlton's new £2.5m signing Luke Varney made a good start by scoring the Addicks first goal in a 2-0 win over Welling United.
