Official Site Causing Problems
The official site, CreweAlex.net, may look like it's going from strength to strength. However, as you may have read, NTL and PTV are now in the red and failing to live up to their expectations... so behind the scenes Crewe could be left without any unofficial site.
The news first broke to us at CreweAlex.org in May but decieded to keep quiet but it seems to have broke to the national tabloids that PTV and NTL are failing to pay the full £35million which the club were offered for having loads of shit promotions on their websites.
Promotions such as Bet 365 are bringing money to the club for every time you bet and when you post of the messageboard the club egt a few pennies in the jar but PTV promised too much to the clubs and are heading the same way as ITV Digital.
Not all payments have been recieved and the clubs who were in ruin after the ITV Digital farce could soon be handed new problems if in 2 weeks NTL and PTV announce the collapse of their official site network. Like ITV Digital, NTL tried to predict how much they would make from all the promotions they have on the 68 or so club sites but also like ITV Digital it's all gone pare shapped and are now struggling to pay up.
So what does this mean for Crewe? Well it would mean they would lose a few thousand(They get £2k a year for just updating it!) a month and possibly another meeting between Dario and Bowler about the finances and his limit for next season. Also as far as we know the money you pay over Bet 365 and Crewe World all goes direct to NTL and Crewe won't see a penny of it till their next payment. Many chairman have told fans not to bet on their own betting sites and most sites are refusing to launch their 'Club World' feature and a few webmasters have gone as far as quitting incase they get caught up with the collaspe of the deal.
We will keep you updated but, more big finance problems are just round the corner.
