About the Ground

The club moved to their new home back in 1994 after they moved from the County Ground, which was also used as the Cricket ground for Northants.
Sixfields has three small covered single tier stands, and another larger single tier covered West Stand (capacity 4,000), at one side of the pitch. Away supporters are housed at the South Stand end. The ground has a capacity of 7,653 and is now looking to increase the capacity up to 15,000.

Where to Drink
Sixfields is built on a leisure complex, which is situated on the outskirts of the town. Two pubs are near by but are both for home supporters these being the Magic Tower and The Sixfields Tavern. Although two bars have recently opened these are Old Orleans and Sports Bar both popular with home and away supporters. If you don't fancy any of them you could always venture into the town centre for a drink.

Travel

By train

Northampton train station is over two miles from the ground, so it is probably best to hire a taxi. If you feel like waling then it will take you a good 25-30 minutes. Directions as followed Turn right from the station and follow the road past the express lift tower (you can't miss it, a tall tower that was once used for testing lifts), passing the Wickes store on the left. Continue down to the Leisure Centre, turn left down the path beside it and then turn right onto the road. You will see the stadium in the distance in front of you.'

By coach

The official coach leaves at 11am cost £12 members + season ticket holders and £13 non-members.

Sandbach Travelling Alex Coach (John Ford) departs at 9.15am (Crewe), 9am (Sandbach) and priced at £TBC approx. More information you can email AwayDay.Travel@CreweASi.org.uk or call/text 07913 638591.

By Car

Distance from Crewe to Northampton is 103 miles.
Leave the M1 at Junction 16 and take the A45 towards Northampton and you will come to the ground on your right.

The Sixfields stadium is well signposted around the area. There is a fair sized car park located at the ground, which is free. Make sure though that you arrive early as it has been known for it to get full for the more popular games. Also don't try to park at the UGC as you will be charged £10 for your trouble.

For the Away fan

Away fans are located in the South Stand at one end of the pitch, where 850 supporters can be accommodated. If demand requires it, an additional 300 seats can be made available in the Alwyn Hargrave Stand.
