21-year-old Vardy who joined the club at the age of 16 has netted 16 times as the club challange Retford United in getting out of the Northern Premiership Divison One South.
The Steels prized asset has caught the eye of a few league clubs with some of his performances with Sheffield United keeping a close eye on things.
Although it has been reported in South Yorkshire Star that Vardy has travelled down to South Cheshire to have talks with Crewe in which a small fee would prize Vardy to League One.
Only last week the club released a press statement on their official website saying: 'Stocksbridge Park Steels F.C. can exclusively confirm that they are in discussions with several Football League Clubs regarding steels player Jamie Vardy. Jamie who joined the club at the age of 16 has progressed through a very successful youth set-up.
