The Alex has unveiled their next set of plans for a huge expansion at Shavington. The club look to expand the soccer centre by building a 74-seater viewing area which will be set along the main arena also the playing surface will be replaced with the third generation pitch. At a cost of £570k other areas within the complex will see improvements. The goalkeeping training area will be doubled in size the changing rooms will also see a makeover along with the introduction on ladies official rooms.

The car park will also double in size this after complaints from residents led to the road outside the centre being double yellow lined. The capacity of the car park will now be 70 spaces and will hope to ease the problems around the B5071.

The centre has been at Shavington now for many years and has become very popular with community within the Crewe area. Hundreds of children as young as four and upwards including adults use the complex through out the year.
