While the Railwaymen were thumping Yeovil Town 3-0 former Crewe boss Dario Gradi was watching York City v Woking and looking over Martyn Woolford and Onome Sodje.
22-year-old Woolford has caught the eye of the Railwaymen management team with his performances on the wing, that has seen the former Frickley Athletic net 16 goals this season.
But while watching Woolford Gradi's would of been impressed with the performance of 19-year-old Omone Sodje who netted twice to take his total to 14 goals this season.
Although the interest maybe short lived as City's boss Colin Walker says his part of next season plans as the Minstermen look for promotion out of the Blue Square Premiership.
Walker told York Press:"I've not had any contact from Dario Gradi at all. I'm trying to figure out our plans for next season because that's the main part of my job now.
"Martyn is part of those plans and is a contracted York City player until something else happens."
