McCready re-joined back in 2007 but his second spell was blighted with injuries especially the second season and as a result was released by Gudjon Thordarson.
27-year-old McCready has since then had trials at a few clubs including Chartlon Athletic and Gillingham but it was Northampton Town where he impressed manager Stuart Gray.
