Winsford born Maynard has so far scored 11 goals in 17 games and has just recently come back from injury which he picked up in Crewe's 2-1 win over Port Vale.
His progress at the club has been phenomenal, besides his goal scoring exploits he has won the Powerade League One Player-of-the-Month for October and has also picked up many Man-of-the-Match performances. Maynard had only signed an improved contract early on in the year after signing pro forms back in June 2005. He now joins fellow teammates Luke Varney, Michael O'Connor, and Gary Roberts in committing their long-term future.
