Crewe's top goal scorer Nicky Maynard faces up to weeks out. Maynard who notched his 11th goal of the season against Port Vale on Saturday pulled up with a hamstring injury 20 minutes from time.
Crewe's management team are awaiting the results of a scan on the damaged hamstring and Neil Baker admits the team are bracing themselves for grim news. Baker told the Sentinel
"It looks bad," he said. "We may well have to do without Nicky for between four and six weeks."
Maynard has been a revelation this season and with his goal scoring exploits picked up the player of the month award in September.
