28-year-old Matthews was released by the Railwaymen at the end of last season after a torrid time with injury which restricted him to a few substitute apperances.
Matthews has signed a one-year deal and made his debut for Livi against Morton and could of easily of had a hat-trick if it was not for the keeper, he lasted 61 mins before he was replaced as Livi crashed 1-0 in the Challange Cup.
