Macca Set To Stay

The defender was told in January to put his injury problems behind him or, with his contract running out, he'll be released from the club. Since, Macca has seemingly put any injury problems behind him and has been fit for the past couple of months putting in good performances when he's been on the pitch.
The 22 year old has now been told that he'll be sat down to discuss a new contract at the end of the season, Dario told CreweAlex.net:
“We will hold talks with Chris in the summer, but he knows that we will offer him a new deal. It will just depend on him staying clear of injuries in the future as to what we offer him.
“Of course, it is a double edged agreement because he would be allowed to leave if he wanted, but we hope that doesn’t happen.”
McCready joins Brammer, who also faces contract talks but also faces a wage cut.
