With Allan Smart out for 5 weeks the Alex are abit short of strikers, with only the young boots of Paul Edwards, Luke Varney and James Robinson to step in. Dario has gone into the transfer market and sealed a loan deal with a unnamed Premiership striker but yesterday put it on hold when he couldn't guarantee a starting place.
"We would only put him on our bench so he is perhaps better off staying at his Premiership side at the moment. If we desperately need a striker to go straight in, that situation might change," Dario told The Sentinel.
"His club are happy for him to come here on loan, so we'll just have to see how that develops."
The situation could change should Jonah come back with a knock tonight when playing for Northern Ireland, against Armenia.
