Dave Moss, manager, has revealed he's trying to secure a midfielder for saturday despite the unamed player turning the offer down.
"I haven't given up hope of bringing someone in for Saturday, although I've a couple have fallen through. One couldn't come because a player in his position at his club was injured and the other, the lad turned it down himself."
The local silkmen paper has mentioned Colin Little is the player the Macc boys and the deal is set to go through. So the above comments may not be related to Little as he said earlier this month that he would rarther get a local(ish) team than return to somewhere like Mansfield.
