Little spoke to ManchesterOnline about his hopes of joining former Crewe teammates, Macauley and Miles, by signing a deal with Macclesfield Town. Little has been with Macc since the transfer deadline and along with John Miles has helped them stay in the football league. A couple of weeks ago John Miles left Crewe and signed a 2 year deal with Macc and now Colin Little hopes he will be offered a deal.

"Dario has been great with me. I've told him I want to go to Macc and that it would be ideal for me.

"A local club where I believe I could make a real impression and he has said he will do everything he can to make it possible.

"Now it's up to the club. David Moss has told me he'd like to offer me a one-year contract but the Board will decide.

"That's football - I'll just have to wait and see."

"My strengths used to be out-and-out goalscoring, but since I've been at Crewe and under Dario, I feel I've learned a lot more about the game, and can add much more outside the box as well as inside the box.

"I know the manager wants to bring in some real quality in close season and everyone knows they will have to fight for their places.

"But I'm not afraid of that. I will battle with anyone for a place in the side."

Macclesfield Manager is just as keen for him to be a Macclesfield player:
"Colin is a talented footballer and has played a lot of games in the first and second division for Crewe, so he certainly has a great deal of experience. I believe he could be a valuable addition to the squad."
