Lets hit the play-offs!

The goalkeeper, who signed on a two-year deal yesterday, has always stated his ambition to play in the Premiership within the next few years but few thought he meant to play there with Crewe!

The Manchester United trainee shrugged off the mention of a possible relegation fight, when interviewed on CreweAlex.net. Instead, Williams sees no reason why we shouldn't be looking at the top six rather than the bottom six; "People will always associate us with relegation battles but I don't see any reason why we can't push for play-offs.

"When I was here I only played 10 games but we played the whole spectrum of the league and we could hold our own against the Norwich's and Sunderland's so it's the same as Crystal Palace this year, I don't see any reason why we can't push through and get into the play-offs.

"It's a very good side, we've got very talented, enthusiastic, young players."

If only some Alex fans had Williams's optimism for next season.
