Lengthy lay off for Baudet?

Defender Julien Baudet looks set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up an ankle injury in Crewe's 5-1 over Carlisle United.
The Frenchman limped off halfway through the first half and it seems that it has shown concern for boss Dario Gradi. Gradi said 'Julien did get an injury and we don't know the extent of it yet. It is an

achilles problem and they can drag on'

This will become a bit of a blow as Baudet had played in all of Crewe's games and had settled into a partnership with club captain Neil Cox.
With Baudet going off Gradi brought on Darren Moss who went to the left back position while Billy Jones went in Baudet's place. Although a poor clearance from Moss gave Carlisle striker Hawley a goal on a plate Moss seemed to settle and put in a strong display.

This will pose a headache for Gradi with the Railwaymen entertaining Gillingham this Saturday. He could keep the back four that finished the game on Saturday or he could recall on loan defender Daniel O'Donnell to replace the injured Baudet.

Also Nicky Maynard limped off on Saturday but looks set to fit for this Saturday's game.
