Konjic Targetted?

Konjic

Crewe are apparently in talks with Derby County defender Mo Konjic. The Bosnian defender, who Coventry paid £2 million for, is deemed surplus to requirements at Derby and they are keen to remove him from their wage bill. Derby are very interested in signing ex-Alex favourite Seth Johnson but must free up the necessary wages in order to be able to do so. It appears that the 6'3 defender is the first to be struck off which has alerted Dario Gradi.

Konjic is a no nonsense defender who has been capped 19 times for Bosnia and scored twice in the process. Whilst Konjic is not the quickest, his aerial dominance have made him a target for Crewe boss Dario Gradi who is keen to add to his defensive options. Should the speculation prove to be correct, Crewe fans would be hopeful than Konjic can help prevent us leaking as many goals as last season.
