Lunt who has signed on loan until 3rd January will go straight into the team against Stockport County this Saturday.
The club already have Michael O'Connor ruled out through suspension and Steven Schumacher ruled out for six weeks after having surgery on his ankle.
Lunt who was on loan at the Alex last season has failed to start this season for the Owls and is in his final year at Hillsborough, Lunts last apperance for the Railwaymen was in the 4-1 defeat at home to Oldham Athletic on the final day of the season.
Lunt made 14 appearances last season for the Railwaymen and helped steer the Alex away from the relegation zone during his three month loan spell.
