Shrewsbury Town today signed their second ex-Crewe player. Darran Kempson followed Darren Moss by signing for the Shropshire club and has worked with Shrews manager Gary Peters when he was at Preston North End.
22-year old Kempson signed for the Railwaymen last season for a year after impressing during a trial from Morecambe. He made a total of 9 games for the Railwaymen earlier on in the season making his last appearance in Crewe's away defeat at Bradford City in the FA Cup.
Kempson then joined League Two club Bury on loan and impressed Shakers boss Chris Casper as they avoided relegation to the Conference.
Blackpool born Kempson was one of the last players to find out their fate and was told that his contact would not be renewed and had been linked with a move to Gigg Lane but now he is reunited with Gary Peters who worked with him when he was signed as a 15-year old from Oldham.
