Billy Jones picked up his 5th yellow card of the season against Ipswich Town on Tuesday night.
The latest caution has now ruled the 18 year old defender/midfielder out of Crewe's relegation clash against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday 25 February.
Dario has stated that the player was ineed of a rest having turned out thirty three times this season and in the process scoring five goals. He said 'I would perhaps have rested Billy anyway, it's been a long, hard season for him' Dario also said that 'Billy was pleased to have come off on Tuesday. The Wolves and Ipswich games have been two hard outings for him.
Crewe boss knows he has Tony Grant and Lee Bell to fill the void in the midfield area for the vital game against Brighton.
