Jones, who has been a consistent scorer for the reds since his debut two seasons ago, has found life increasingly difficult under his national team manager Lawrie Sanchez, and he may see this apparent interest from the Ewood Park club as a chance to finally cement his place for the Ulstermen.
Jones told Sunday Life: "I've been told that a few clubs have shown interest. The most exciting one I've heard is Blackburn.
"Mark (Hughes) came to Crewe and it coincided with me playing well and scoring."
Alex boss Dario Gradi, who bought Jones for just £70,000 in the summer of 2001, has seen the Irishman's partnership with Dean Ashton flourish, and with the prospect of a big money move for the twenty-one-year-old on the cards the railwaymen could be without their top two strikers.
However, Jones, who has been through well-documented personal problems of late, allayed fans' fears by claiming: ''There is nothing concrete just yet,'' said Jones, who is also adept at playing right side of midfield.
''I'm happy at Crewe and enjoying my football but like any other player I want to play at the highest possible level.
''A move to the Premiership would be a dream come true as you can't get much better than that, but at the minute I have to keep scoring goals for Crewe or none of that will happen.''
Gradi reportedly turned down substantial bids from Derby County and Reading last season for Jones.
