Jonah Sinks Minnows

Northern Ireland continued their preparations for their eagerly anticipated 2006 World Cup Qualifying campaign against both Vaughany's Wales and England, with a hard fought 2-0 victory over St. Kitts and Nevis. Jones wrapped up the win for the resurgent Ulstermen as they overcame the tiny Islanders on their Carribbean tour. Northern Ireland had David Healy to thank as he opened the scoring and set up the Alex number nine in the dying minutes.
Another boost for the Irish came with the news that former Crewe favourite Neil Lennon is contemplating a return to the internatioanl fold.
Lennon, who made 187 Alex appearances in six years, prematurely retired following death threats from an anti-Catholic group. But two years of international wilderness has left the 32-year-old pondering a return:
"I'm two years on and I don't know what the situation has been in the country as I haven't been back or spoken to people about it,'' said Lennon. "But I will get the summer out of the way, speak to the family again and see what they think."
In other news, Graham Barrett, former Crewe loanee, scored for the Republic of Ireland against Jamaica at Charlton's Valley Stadium yesterday.
Lastly, ex-Crewe loan keeper Danny Milosevic is on trial at FA Cup finalists Millwall. The Australian goalkeeper had a spell at Celtic last season before he turned down an offer from Stockport County. The ex-Leeds stopper has been constantly linked to the Alex since his short loan spell more than two years ago.
