An untimely injury to Cedric Bayesa means that the Southampton striker will miss the away trip to Hartlepool United.
Bayesa who has two appearances since his arrival in November is now receiving treatment for a groin injury at his parent club.
Another player to pick up an injury is David Gray who is now ruled out for three weeks with an ankle injury. Gray is now receiving treatment at Man United's Carrington Training complex. With the injuries to both the loan players the management team are looking at extending the loan spells as cover for the festive period. Bayesa loan spell ends after the Hartlepool game while Gray's loan spell ends after the Doncaster Rovers game.
On a positive note Lee Barnard looks set to train later this week and could be in contention over the busy Christmas period. Barnard who is on loan until January has been out for some weeks with an ankle injury and will look to add to his tally of one goal and end his loan spell with a flourish.
