Ince wants to stay focused

Ince was a regular in the Trinidad and Tobago team till he was given the number one shirt at the Alex in 2002, he cut back on the amount of international games he played but never ruled out call ups when he was free. With a weekend off he, along with the likes of Stern John of Birmingham & Carlos Edwards of Wrexham, will be lining up against a Brazilian All Stars team. Players like Bebeto and Romario will be in the Brazil team.

Ince told CreweAlex.net that he is looking forward to testing himself after some poor form in recent months:

"It will be great to play against players who have played in the World Cup like Romario and playing against those players will be a good experience for me as well and hopefully I can bring that back to me with Crewe.

"Well it is a weekend off but it means I will be playing a game and testing my concentration because I think that has been my problem recently."

Manager Dario Gradi has echoed Ince's hopes that he'll pick up a few new ideas but, after being critical of the likes of Ince, Jack, Sodje and Bankole for going to play for their countries instead of Crewe in recent times, he stands by he wouldn't want them to go if Crewe were building up to a game:

"It is good that our players are been called up to represent their country and I don't mind them playing at all unless it means they miss a match for us because of it.

"It does become a nuisance when you have players missing because of Internationals but we encourage our players to play International football and experience a different way of playing."

Steve Jones is set to play for Northern Ireland, Billy Jones for England U-19 and Dean Ashton is set to be named in the England U-21s this evening.
