Hulsey scores again

Rob Hulse is making a good impression at new club West Bromwich Albion, as he saved the Baggies from an embarrassing loss against little known Danish Second Division side Kolding.

Hulse partnered Scotland international Scott Dobie after replacing Danny Dichio at half-time, and added spark to a tired looking Albion. Firstly, he was denied two tap-ins by Kolding keeper Kenneth Falkenberg after Scott Dobie and Jason Roberts respectively set up the Crewe born striker.

He also set up Roberts, but the keeper saved well. Eventually Hulse broke the deadlock in the 79th minute after picking up an Andy Johnson throughball and rounding the keeper before slotting home.

He could have won it for the West Midlands side, who continue their pre-season tour of Denmark on Saturday against Odense BK, when his instinctive goal bound effort somehow went the wrong side of the post.
