Hulse to reject Cardiff

Alex legend.
Dario has spoken to Hulse for the first time since the Cardiff bid was accepted, just over a week ago.

Dario told the Official Site "I have spoken with Rob this morning and he has told me that he doesn't want to speak to Cardiff

"Personally I think it is best for him to go, and from our point of view we would like to get the money and get cracking with our other plans."

"But it's a difficult situation."

So it's unlikely that Hulse will be moving to South Wales, it leaves fans split as it's good to see Hulse wanting to move so he can better his career but with no other bids on the table - his asking price will be vanishing as his contract starts to run out.

Some fans have been getting annoyed at Dario for not 'splashing the cash' to get new players, and keep Hulse at Crewe. Dario though has hit back, and rightly so too!

"We couldn't run a youth policy at this club if all our home grown players rejected contracts and walked away for nothing.

"Rob is out on his own a bit here because he is the first we've had who has not signed an extension.

"Some fans tell me we should offer him anything to make sure he stays but that is totally un-realistic.

"If I did that with him then I'd have to do the same with all the others we have just offered contracts to and we'd end up in a financial situation like Barnsley or Wimbledon.

"Is that what the fans really want?"
