Hulse has, ofcourse, been linked with West Brom more than anyone else. Gary Megson is a big fan of Hulse and Dario had to reject a £2.5million bid from Megson in order to keep Hulse. With Hulse now on the transfer list and a good £1million taken off his price tag, Megson may see this the right time to get a bargain.

Local black country newspapers were quick to get the story out:

"Crewe have cleared the way for Albion to make a renewed bid for long term target Rob Hulse.

The First Division newcomers have placed the talented striker on the transfer list after he rejected the offer of two year extension to his present deal.

The development is sure to interest Megson, who made a move to land the 23-year-old last summer, especially now that the front-runner is likely to be available at a knock-down price. "

While West Brom were very keen, Kevin Keegan was keen. many newspaper reports in the Manchester Evening News kept saying Keegan was ready to launch a £2million bid on Hulse. That was last year before the signing of Fowler though.

Meanwhile...
It is reported, after last weeks awards night, that Sam Hammam contacted Dario over taking David Vaughan and Hulse to Ninian Park - Dario told him no. Maybe Hammam will be back in touch?

Finally, Norwich - Norwich fans got it from a friend of a friend's mate who's mate was paving Mark Rivers drive and Rivers told him Hulse was on his way to Carrow Road. Yeah right.
