Higgy looking forward to time at Crewe

Returning Alex hero Craig Hignett today said that Crewe's attacking pass and move style of play will suit him after months of frustration at Mickey Adams' long ball tactics at Leicester.

Higgy left Gresty Road a hero in 1992 after scoring fifty-seven goals in all competitions, and his return has proved to be extremely popular with supporters of the club after Dario Gradi confirmed the move on Tuesday.

Craig told The Sentinel that both our stlye of play and his friendship with Gradi were fundamental decisions in his return to South Cheshire:

"I have to say Crewe's style of football and the way they play will suit me better. Obviously knowing Dario the way I do spurred on my decision to come back."

After being constantly overlooked by Mickey Adams during his time at the Walkers Stadium, Hignett admitted that he is raring to go starting on tomorrow's visit to the Bradford and Bingley Stadium.

"I can't wait to play games, I've been sat on the bench at Leicester most of the season and it's been a bit frustrating not playing. But we play a little bit more direct at Leicester and maybe it doesn't quite suit me. But I'm looking forward to playing games here and seeing what I can do."

However, Adams had told Hignett that the move will not turn into a longer term deal, because of Leicester's precarious position in the Premiership relegation zone:

"Mickey Adams has said he wants me back at the end of the month, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Hopefully, I can help Crewe get a few points and score a few goals as well," added the Merseysider.
