Head to Head and Team News - Rotherham United (H)

Crewe have their second Saturday home game in a week, this time the Railwaymen entertain bottom of the table Rotherham United.

The Millers started the season on -10pts after going into administration last season and did have a good run early on but then after going 14 games without a win in the league sacked then manager Alan Knill.

Caretaker manager and former Manchester United player Mark Robins took over the reigns and so far has had two wins under their belts with a 4-1 win at home to Bradford and a 1-0 away win away to Brentford last week. The only blot on Robins early managerial career was a 5-1 home defeat to Port Vale two weeks ago.

The Millers look to set to give a debut to Che Wilson who has signed on loan from Championship side Southend United but Robins has doubts over a few players, former Crewe defender Colin Murdock dropped out of training with a thigh strain but may have to be content with a place on the bench. Michael Keane who picked up a head injury last week at Brentford looks set to be fit for tomorrows game as is Martin Woods but the Millers will be with out Eugen Bopp and Gregor Robertson.

Crewe boss Dario Gradi has some key players out again with former Miller Jon Otsemobor still out with a hamstring injury, Luke Varney is still a few weeks away from recovering from his broken toe while David Vaughan and Nicky Maynard need to work on their fitness after coming of groin and hamstring injuries and could be available for Blackpool next Saturday.

Michael O'Connor is ruled out for the season with growing pains although saying that Crewe have been boosted with some players overcoming knocks and illness to stake a place in the team, Ryan Lowe and Julien Baudet have over come a tooth problem and foot injury respectively to keep their places in the squad.
Darren Moss who missed last weeks match against Bristol City with a stomach bug is fit again and is challenging Paul Bignot for the right back berth. Crewe will also give new loan signing Anthony McNamee a debut start in place of Rodney Jack as Dario Gradi looks for improvement in front of goal.
