The Railwaymen will look for three points to steer them away from the relegation zone. Failure to get a win and if Bournemouth and Millwall win then the Alex will slump to a new low.
Rovers come into this game on a high after they secured a 4th round tie in the FA Cup after beating Barnet and with that they face Southampton at the Memorial Ground next month.
The Gas are just two points ahead of the Railwaymen in the league but will be on a high after winning the last two games on the road and have only lost twice in the last eight games. Rovers boast a good away record with five wins on the road and making it difficult for the home teams as they have only let in eleven goals on their travels.
Crewe Team NewsCrewe look set to give late fitness tests on Nicky Maynard and Michael O'Connor if both fail then Crewe may promote Josh Thompson from the Academy as the Alex look for some vital goals.
Shaun Miller is ruled out with an ankle injury while Billy Jones has had his operation on his knee but will not be fit until mid-March.
