Head to Head and Team News - Bradford City (A)

Crewe travel to managerless Bradford City tomorrow and stand in caretaker manager David Wetherall will look to impress after Colin Todd was shown the door on Monday.

Bradford have already put seven goals past Crewe this season with no reply from the Railwaymen. The teams met back in August and Bradford ended up winning 3-0 that day, then the two teams met in the 1st Round of the FA Cup and that day Bradford ended up 4-0 winners.

Bradford are just below Crewe in the league table with 37pts and have not won in the last five home matches. Their last win was a narrow 1-0 victory over Chesterfield. Crewe may find it hard to pick themselves up after losing to Doncaster in the JPT on Monday but the management and players still hope they can rescue their season and push for the play-offs.

Latest team news is that Crewe will be without Nicky Maynard after the player picked up a reoccurance of the hamstring injury that has kept him out for the last few weeks. Other players that are doubtful are David Vaughan (groin) and Michale O'Connoor (illness) so Crewe boss Dario Gradi may have to change his team around.

Bradford City on the other hand look set to have Matt Clarke in defence and he looks set to partner Mark Bower in the back four. On-loan Leeds Utd youngster Ben Parker will replace the suspended Ben Youga at left-back. Bradford will keep the strike pairing of ex-Vale forward Billy Paynter on-loan from Southend and another loan player in the shape of Bruce Dyer from Doncaster to help the Bantams fire the goals. Ex-Crewe player Eddie Johnson who scored twice at Gresty Road in August may have to be content with a place on the bench.
