Crewe go into this afternoons game needing three points against an inform Southend United who have not lost in the last nine games.
With Millwall and Gillingham locking horns at the New Den, the Railwaymen will be looking for the points while they hope that the other game end in a draw.
You have to go back to 1987 for when the last time Crewe took all three points when that day they won 2-1 since then a meeting back in 1991 ended with the Shrimpers winning 2-0.
In fact the thirteen meetings at Gresty Road has seen the Shrimpers only lose four games and also they have recorded six wins.
Crewe Team News.Crewe have a host of players out with injury as they look for three points to push away from the relegation zone.
Michael O'Connor is ruled out with a groin problem so Steven Schumacher gets a recall.
Dean Morgan will return to the first team after missing the trip to Luton last week, Morgan had a loan spell earlier on in the season at Roots Hall.
George Abbey and Julian Baudet are doubtful with ankle and flu respectively and if both fails fitness tests then Daniel O'Donnell and Chris McCready will be called upon.
The Railwaymen are already without Neil Cox (shoulder), Tom Pope (toe), Ben Rix (hip), Billy Jones (fitness)

The Shrimpers are without winger Damian Scannell who has a groin injury while Hal Robson-Kanu is rated 50/50 with an achilles problem.
Former Brighton & Hove Albion striker Alex Revell looks set to return from injury and will partner former Crewe loanee Lee Barnard in attack.
