Crewe hit the road and their first away game of the 2009-10 season with a visit to Cleethorpes and Blundell Park home of Grimsby Town.
The ground opened up in 1899 and has had many changes over the year upto it present state today with a capacity of 9,546. The club had agreed a year back to build a new 12,000 all seater stadium but at this present time it is yet to be constructed.

Where to Drink.

The one time away fans favorite The Leaking Boot is now shut but the Blundell Park Hotel near to the ground is recommended which also does food.
A walk away from the ground is the Rutland Arms. As for food Cleethorpes is well you cannot go wrong with Fish and Chips which is legendary or if you fancy fast food then McDonalds is right next to the ground.
