Potential transfer target for Crewe Jamie Mackie looks although he could be involved in a tug-of-war with a host of league clubs looking at the 13 goal hitman.
Mackie who is out of contract in the Summer is being urged by his manager to stay at the Blue Square Premier League side and hopefully fire them into the Football League but if the right offer came along the Grecians may find it hard to hold onto him.
In the last year Crewe have signed Danny Woodards and Billy Jones from Exeter City and both have settled into League One with some solid displays.
Tisdale told www.thisisexeter.co.uk "What I want now from Jamie is for him to help us into the Football League and then let him go because he is destined for higher things," said Tisdale.
"We would like to carry him forward with us. Let's get a bit of momentum and let's hopefully ride that all the way into the Football League then he can get a move in the summer."
"I would like to keep him here but the way he is scoring goals it is a double-edged sword," added Tisdale. "You can't get someone playing that well and then keep hold of them, unfortunately.
"I expect there to be talk and I expect there to be interest in Jamie. If we get an offer it is our prerogative to accept it or not.
"He might get an opportunity that is right for us and right for him in January."
