Former Reading and Bristol City frontman Bas Savage looks set to arrive at Crewe next week looking to impress over a two-week trial.
The 24-year old Londoner has just been released by the Robins after making 23 appearances of which 15 were from the start.
During his professional career Savage has made 48 appearances with two loan stints at Wycombe and Bury when he was at Reading. Out of those 48 games Savage has only found the net once this coming in a League One game last season against Scunthorpe United.

Savage will work out next week at Reasheath while a squad of twenty four will train in Portugal for a few days. When the squad return from the Algarve, Savage will look to impress in the early friendlies to secure a contract and prove he can fill the void after Gareth Taylor and Eddie Johnson decided to sign for other League One clubs. Savage has already turned down a few contract offers mostly from lower league clubs and he feels that he can still prove himself at this level in League One.
